k4 logo

k4 Court

An award winning sustainable development, K4 Court deserved a clean and modern mark that would evoke the sophistication and progressive nature of the project. The line drawing focuses on the unique architecture, while the k4 icon is reminiscent of a periodic element and is meant to suggest the naturally occurring materials used in the project.

Woodlawn Coffee & Pastry

For Woodlawn Coffee and Pastry, we used a wood-cut type style in order to evoke a timeless bakery design coupled with a Wonka-esk feel. The effect is a friendly neighborhood vibe with just a bit of mystery.

cd baby podcast logo

CD Baby Podcast

We wanted to use a recognizable form (ear buds) in an unconventional way. After photographing a set of earbuds in various states of entanglement, we decided on this one for its unique shape. Color variations on this theme were used to create multiple identities for CD Baby's popular podcast series.

Cherry Sprout Produce Market

Here we strove for something that would look at home in the North Portland arts district where Cherry Sprout Produce operates. The hand drawn illustration has an organic feel and a vintage aesthetic.

Bike Republic

Here we used color coded icons to convey a complex business model which involves: fitness services, bike storage, locker rooms and bike repair, all aimed at Portland's bike commuters.

Paws & Co.

This illustrated logo incorporates a clean and modern type treatment. The result is a cute, quirky and easily identified mark designed to woo the hearts of pet lovers.

Citizen Coffee Logo

Citizen Coffee

Here we borrowed the typographic style used in movie posters for Citizen Kane and combined them with other elements of 1920s design. We endeavored to create a brand identity with a classic Art Deco aesthetic which could be easily extended to all aspects of their business.

Associated Family Physicians of Vallejo/Bencia Inc. Logo

Associated Family Physicians of Vallejo/Benicia Inc.

AFP of Valejo/Benicia was looking to encourage clients of all ages to utilize their services. In order to represent the three stages in life and health, we used three trees to represent youth, middle age, and maturity. The oak tree and rolling hills were drawn from the native landscape of the Sonoma Valley, the home of the medical practice.

Post-Consumer Records

This mark cleverly combines the fall of consumerism in the collapsing bar code, while also depicting a collection of records leaning together on a shelf.

Cirque Du Cycling

Here we married a circus theme to a modern cycling aesthetic. The sunburst and the curvature of the text serve to animate the mark.
